Just before the road descends toward the Sie springs, which feed most of the Selliandros river, tucked among dense plane trees near Megalos Valtos, stands the picturesque little stone chapel of Agia Paraskevi. Built in the early 20th century, it celebrates its feast each year on 26 July and is a favourite stop for visitors. All around, an idyllic landscape of cool shade, running water and views over the Selliandros valley invites gentle walks and a restful pause beneath the trees. The chapel is always open on the eve and the day of the feast; on other days it opens by arrangement.
