Klimenti Camp sits within a dense forest of black pine and plane trees on the slope above the village of Klimenti. Built in the 1950s through the efforts of Klimenti-born physician and academic Konstantinos Choremis, it spreads across almost the whole slope, with dormitories, kitchens, an infirmary, a dining hall and sports and recreation areas, and still operates as an organised camping ground for children and adults alike. The neighbouring Environmental Education Centre adds to its appeal, making this a lively base for connecting with nature on the forested flanks of Mount Zireia, high above the Corinthian coast. From the terrace outside the dining hall the view opens freely over the plain of Pellene, and hiking trails lead from here into the forests of eastern Zireia.
