Kryoneri is located south of the city of Kiato and in the geographical center of Corinthia at equal distances from the sea and the mountain range of the prefecture. It is built amphitheatrically at an altitude of 740 m with panoramic views of the Corinthian and Saronic Gulf. Kryoneri is the main village of the area and one of the largest villages in the semi-mountainous Corinthia. To the southwest of the village, the mountain of Vesisza (1,207 m) rises, which forms the natural boundary towards the plateau of Stymphalia. From this mountain springs the river Elysso̱nas, which crosses Kryoneri before flowing into the Corinthian Gulf, in Kiato.
