Goura is a settlement located at an altitude of 950 meters on the western slopes of Ziria in the northern part of the Fenos basin, in the upper valley of the Olvios River, 91 kilometers southwest of Corinth. There, one should pause and admire the beautiful square with the imposing stone-built church and the aristocratic 19th-century mansions of the Revolutionary leader Nikolaos Oikonomou-Gouras, Charis and Mourti, which are historic listed monuments and typical examples of the local architecture of the 19th century. There is also a cozy restaurant on the square, ready to satisfy the visitor’s culinary demands. At the southern entrance of Goura, a sign announces the existence of a Health Center, Gymnasium, Lyceum, and sports field in this beautiful village.
