The Kiato railway station is the terminus of the Athens suburban railway (Proastiakos): a train every hour to Athens and Piraeus, about 1 h 23 min to Athens. Below are the official timetables for trains and buses to and from Kiato and the villages of the municipality.
Departure Kiato → arrival Athens (Larissa station). Every train except the 22:28 continues to Piraeus (+19 min).
Departure Athens (Larissa station) → arrival Kiato. From Piraeus the same trains leave 21 minutes earlier (at :14).
The 04:00 is an early direct train Athens – Kiato.
Six trains a day in each direction stop at Diminio, a village of the municipality; at Kiato they connect with the suburban railway to Athens and Piraeus.
