Kiato market: shopping, local products and coffee in the centre
The centre of Kiato is the commercial heart of western Corinthia. The town is flat, so the market is easy to explore on foot or by bike, and there are plenty of cafés between the shops for a break.
What you will find
Along the main streets and pedestrian lanes of the market there are clothing and shoe shops, homeware, electronics and gift shops, serving both residents and summer visitors.
Local products
What makes the market special are the traditional grocery shops. Here you will find sultana grapes from the plain, Corinthian wines, extra virgin olive oil and cheeses from the mountains of Sikyonia. For all the local products of the area, from citrus fruit to mountain meats, see the dedicated page.
Coffee and food
After shopping, the beach is a few minutes away on foot. Along the promenade there are cafés, tavernas and ouzeri right by the sea.
Two cultural stops
In the centre you will also find the Tournakis House with the Municipal Art Gallery, and the Sikyonia Municipal Library in the renovated building of the old ASO.
