Agios Georgios Monastery (Feneos)
🎫 FreeThe Monastery of Agios Georgios at Feneos is one of the most important historic monasteries in mountainous Corinthia, set on a lush slope near Lake Doxa. The present three-storey complex was rebuilt from its foundations in 1754, and its church is adorned with exquisite frescoes painted by the artist Panagiotis of Ioannina between 1762 and 1768. The monastery played a significant role in the Greek Revolution of 1821 and remains a living place of pilgrimage and quiet reflection.
