Dormition Monastery of Kaisari
🎫 FreeFacing the mountain village of Kaisari, at the foot of Mount Vesiza on the edge of the Pellini plain, lies the Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin, also known as Panagia Kaisariotissa. Tradition holds that it was built around 1800 and restored in 1815 by the hermit Anthimos, while the finely carved iconostasis of its church was crafted in 1920. Today it functions as a convent, a peaceful place of pilgrimage set in a serene mountain landscape.
