Lechova Monastery (Kryoneri)
🎫 FreeAbove Kryoneri, on the eastern slopes of Mount Vesiza and at the edge of a lush fir forest at around 945 metres, stands the historic Lechova Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin, one of the oldest in Corinthia. Its exact founding date is unknown, but the remarkable marble mosaic floor of its church dates to the 11th or 12th century. The cross-shaped church with its octagonal dome, together with sweeping views over the Corinthian Gulf, make this a place of rare serenity. Today it is a convent.
