Zaraka Monastery
🎫 FreeBeside Lake Stymphalia, at the site known as Kionia and close to the ruins of ancient Stymphalos, rise the striking remains of Zaraka Monastery. Founded before 1236 by Roman Catholic Cistercian monks during the period of Frankish rule, it is one of the very few Gothic monuments in Greece. The fortified complex still preserves its 13th-century church and part of its imposing tower gateway, a rare example of Western medieval architecture on Greek soil.
