Agios Athanasios, Lafka
🎫 FreeThe imposing stone church of Agios Athanasios, patron saint of Lafka, has watched over the village for more than 130 years, set below the lush fir forests of Skipiza. Built in 1888–1889 with donations from local residents on the site of an earlier church, it is a fully stone-built basilica with a finely carved wooden altar screen and icons painted by artists from Mount Athos. Its stone bell tower is a fine example of traditional masonry.
