Taxiarchon Church, Goura
🎫 FreeOn the central paved square of Goura stands the stone-built church of the Taxiarchs (the Archangels), plain yet imposing, raised entirely of stone in 1880. Local tradition holds that it was built in memory of an older church of the same name at Palaiochori, one of the area's earliest settlements, abandoned in the early 18th century. The church is a landmark of the village and a fine example of the local building tradition, presiding over the life of the square.
